Echoes
Copy the dictionary definition of Onomatopoeia. The formation of a word, as cuckoo, meow, honk, or boom, by imitation of a sound made by or associated with its referent.
Write out the words from the poem that show onomatopoeia. Roar Clap Stamp Shout Shakes Blows
Find two verbs from the poem. Clap Shout
Use the thesaurus to find a synonym for each verb. Slam Clap
This week the poem is Echoes we were learning about Onomatopoeia, Synonym and smile. We had to use the dictionary and thesaurus to find verbs.

I hear …
When I think of school
I hear
People saying good morning also people laughing and bells ringing, people running like cheetahs, teachers giving ideas and classmates saying YES!
